The work includes demos and other new releases from the group

In the 1990s, Viper traveled the world promoting Brazilian heavy metal and ended up gaining a large fan base in Japan. In homage to them, the group released an EP exclusively in that country titled *Vipera Sapiens *. Now, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of its release, the album has been made available in Brazil by the Wikimetal label .

Evolution album sessions in Germany in 1992 and features Pit Passarell (bass and vocals), Felipe Machado (guitar), Yves Passarell (guitar) and Renato Graccia (drums) in the lineup. In addition to the original repertoire, Vipera Sapiens includes demo versions of "Dance of Madness", "Pictures of Hate", "Wasted" and "Acid Heart", among others, totaling 15 tracks.

Speaking about the release, guitarist Felipe Machado explains why it's happening now: “At the time it was an exclusive release for Japan, and that's why the record label ended up opting to release it only there. In Brazil, there wasn't a culture of releasing mini-albums, and that's why we kept putting 'Vipera' aside. Now, as we are re-releasing Viper's entire discography in digipak versions, with many extras and unreleased photos, the time has come.”.

Wikimetal 's series of Viper re-releases includes the studio albums Soldiers of Sunrise , Theatre of Fate , and Evolution , as well as the live CD/DVD To Live Again – VIPER Live in São Paulo .
