VIPER DAY is an event that has become a fixture on the Brazilian rock calendar. In 2023, we will have the 8th edition of the event.
April 8th commemorates the band's first show at Lira Paulistana in São Paulo in 1985. Every year, current and former members reunite to celebrate the repertoire of one of the greatest heavy rock bands in the history of the country.
In 2023, the date was postponed to June due to VIPER 's participation Summer Breeze festival in April. In this edition, musicians Leandro Caçoilo (vocals), Felipe Machado and Kiko Shred (guitars), Pit Passarell (bass and vocals) and Guilherme Martin (drums) will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the album Evolution by playing it in its entirety, in addition to new songs and other classics from VIPER's career.
Among the guests at the eighth VIPER DAY are Val Santos , co-producer of the new album Timeless and former guitarist of the band; Hugo Mariutti , former guitarist of VIPER; Nando Machado , brother of Felipe Machado and founder of Wikimetal , VIPER's record label; Rafael Romanelli , guitarist of Zumbis do Espaço and Living Metal ; and Daniel Matos , bassist and brother of the late vocalist Andre Matos .
