Vinny Appice
Vinny Appice was the driving force behind live and studio recordings with rock and metal bands and icons such as Dio, Black Sabbath, Heaven And Hell, WWIII, Axis, Rick Derringer, Kill Devil Hill, and at just 16 years old, he played with John Lennon on stage, on video, and in the studio. He is the author of the instructional book Rock Steady and the DVD Hard Rock Drumming Techniques, and has promoted fantastic shows and workshops worldwide.
In 2006, Black Sabbath was reborn as Heaven and Hell, with Vinny once again dictating the rules and the great Ronnie James Dio on vocals. What followed were three world tours and a CD called The Devil You Know , their first studio album since Dehumanizer in 1991. The band also released, in 2010, the DVD Heaven and Hell Live in Europe , which was Dio's last recording at Wacken Open Air in Germany.
In 2017 and 2019, Vinny Appice performed throughout the country with the same team of Brazilian musicians, playing 9 sold-out shows every time. In 2023, Vinny and his band promise a show with much more interaction and new surprises.
