We created a playlist to celebrate the legacy of this great drummer
On Saturday morning, the 23rd, we woke up to the sad news that Vinnie Paul had passed away at the age of 54. The drummer and co-founder of the bands Pantera , Damageplan , and Hellyeah was one of the great icons of heavy metal, and alongside his brother Dimebag Darrell , they became major influences and inspirations for future musicians.
The work that Paul spent his life creating was a great legacy even before we lost the musician. Now, the music will serve to mourn his loss but also to celebrate the life of a great drummer and, according to colleagues and friends, a great man.
