"He didn't want this to happen to him and was trying to take care of himself."

During an interview, Hellyeah guitarist Tom Maxwell revealed that Vinnie Paul was always worried about dying young. According to him, the drummer checked his blood pressure frequently, trying to prevent it from happening to him.

“He was deeply affected when someone close to him died and was always worried about it because he didn’t want the same thing to happen to him,” Maxwell said. He also revealed that Hellyeah was a source of happiness for Vinnie Paul when his brother Dimebag Darrell passed away.
