The drummer passed away in June
According to TMZ Pantera , Hellyeah , and Damageplan drummer Vinnie Paul passed away due to dilated cardiomyopathy – enlargement of the heart ventricles, which reduces blood pumping – as well as severe coronary artery disease.
Paul died at age 54 on June 22nd and was buried on June 30th, next to his mother and brother, Dimebag Darrell , in Texas, in a custom-made coffin provided by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of Kiss .
Dimebag, the guitarist, was killed during a Damageplan performance in 2004.
