The trial will be on September 19th
Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil has pleaded not guilty to the assault charges he faced in early July.
The accusation concerns an incident in early April, in which Vince Neil allegedly pulled a fan seeking an autograph from actor Nicholas Cage by the hair and threw her to the ground. Photos and videos showed Nicholas Cage trying to calm Neil down, who, according to witnesses, had consumed alcohol. TMZ even released a video of the end of the fight between Cage and Neil .
Neil argues that he only bumped into the woman, but according to TMZ, footage obtained proves that there was aggression on the part of the musician.
Vince Neil was not present at the trial, and his lawyers pleaded not guilty on his behalf. The trial is scheduled to begin on September 19th, and if found guilty, Vince Neil could face up to six months in prison.
