The musician passed away in December
Last Sunday, the 7th, an event was held in memory of vocalist Warrel Dane, known for his work with the bands Sanctuary and Nevermore.
Dane passed away on December 13th in São Paulo at the age of 56 after suffering a heart attack. The musician was in Brazil finalizing his next solo album, the successor to 2008's Praises To The War Machine
The event took place at Studio Seven in Seattle, Washington , and featured friends and colleagues paying tribute to the vocalist, saying their final goodbyes.
Nevermore ended its activities in 2011 when guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams announced their departure from the band after personal differences with Dane and bassist Jim Sheppard. Warrel once described Nevermore as "the best band that alcohol ever destroyed.".
Sanctuary, meanwhile, has spent the last few years touring to promote their 2014 album, The Year The Sun Died , and their 2016 Inception
