Rapper Vic Mensa formed the band 93PUNX to play styles other than hip-hop.
The Cranberries ' lead singer , Dolores O'Riordan , passed away a year ago. In tribute, rapper Vic Mensa recorded a cover of "Zombie" with his new band, 93PUNX , created so he could perform in styles other than hip-hop.
The 1994 song – a protest against the Irish Republican Army's bombing raids – was reinterpreted by Mensa. “We connected with 'Zombie' because we both came from violence,” Mensa said. “RIP Dolores.”
The Cranberries have announced a new album , the band's latest release, along with a new single, "All Over Now".
