The track premiered on the American radio program SiriusXM Breakfast With The Beatles Rolling Stone editor David Fricke . “Here’s the sound of the world’s most exciting new group, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, live in rock’s greatest year – and playing the opening theme song from the Beatles’ masterpiece Summer of Love,” Fricke said when introducing the song ( via NME ).

The news promotes Jimi Hendrix Experience: Hollywood Bowl August 18, 1967 , an album scheduled for release on November 10th. The album will also feature hits such as “Purple Haze,” “The Wind Cries Mary,” as well as reimaginings like Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone.
