Edu Falaschi released his first solo album in May 2021. The conceptual project, Vera Cruz, tells a complex story across its 12 tracks. In an interview with The Wikimetal Happy Hour , the vocalist explained his plans for touring the album and the possibility of turning it into a film.

Set between Brazil and Portugal during the period of invasion and colonization of our country, the album has a cinematic sound that sparked ideas among fans. “People comment, they think we have the power. 'Make a movie, send the story to Netflix ,'” Falaschi commented humorously. “If it were up to me, I'd send it yesterday, but it's not that simple. But a series or a movie would be cool, because this story is complex, it would be magnificent. I'd love to make a feature film, something visual that relates to the concept.”

Although we still don't have news about a possible feature film, Edu Falaschi continued the Vera Cruz universe by releasing a concept book and a short film of "Land Ahoy" . Fans were also able to see behind the scenes of the album's creation in a documentary that featured testimonials from special guests .

When asked about plans to perform Vera Cruz in its entirety on tour, Falaschi thinks it's too early to decide. “Man, the album is still very new. To play the album in its entirety, in my opinion, it has to have some importance, become a classic, something like that. The fans will decide that,” he explained. “Now, given the context and the history, doing it from beginning to end with a cinematic production in the show would be sensational.”

In December, Edu Falaschi announced a world tour planned for 2022. The artist promised a "great show" and also gave a preview of his plans during his appearance on The Wikimetal Happy Hour . "What I can say is that I don't want anything conventional. I like bands that provide entertainment for the fans," he confessed. "That say, 'Look, you paid a lot for a ticket, but you're going to see a show.' That's my idea, to create an audiovisual spectacle, not just music. I hope to achieve what I'm planning, I'll go all the way."
