Venom, Exciter, and Sepultura played together in 1986.

The first time Venom came to Brazil marked a turning point in the history of heavy metal music in the country. Accompanied by the Canadian band Exciter , pioneers of thrash metal, the trio played in Belo Horizonte on December 5, 1986. The opening act was a local band that had just released their first album, Morbid Visions (1986) : none other than Sepultura , who a few years later would achieve worldwide fame.

The Brazilian Assault 1986 also included performances in Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo. After that, Venom only returned to Brazilian soil in 2009, when they played a single show in São Caetano do Sul, São Paulo. Eight years later, in 2017, the band returned, performing only in São Paulo, the capital city.
