The Velvet Underground will release a vinyl box set to commemorate the band's 50th anniversary

The box set includes four classic albums from the group

The Velvet Underground will continue celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2018. This time, a box set containing six vinyl records will be released.

The classic albums The Velvet Underground & Nico (1967), White Light/White Heat (1968), The Velvet Underground (1969), and Loaded (1970) will be included in the box set along with Chelsea Girl , Nico's debut album, and the LP 1969 , the band's famous "lost album." Rumors suggest the album was intended to be released as the band's fourth studio album but was rejected by MGM, and now it's getting its first vinyl release.

Featuring six incredible albums pressed on 180g vinyl, the box set also includes a 48-page book filled with photos of the band and a foreword written by drummer Maureen Tucker.
