Van Halen appears singing with dinosaurs in a video lost 40 years ago

In 1981, the band recorded an unusual video for the song "So This Is Love" that aired only on Italian TV and was only found now, in 2021

Those who vaguely remember seeing Van Halen in front of a giant dinosaur statue may have convinced themselves over the years that it was all just a dream. The good news is that, yes, the video is not only real, but it's now available online.

According to the YouTube profile that uploaded the legendary footage, the video for “So This Is Love” was filmed in 1981 at a Jurassic Park in Italy called Prehistoric Park during the European tour to promote the album Fair Warning (1981). The music video aired on Italian TV during a program called Happy Circus.

The people responsible for finding the lost footage were the administrators of an Italian Van Halen fan club. In the video, we can see the band members wearing extravagant outfits and having fun in a relaxed performance amidst giant stone dinosaurs and lots of fog.
