In an interview with Rolling Stone , Alex Van Halen , drummer for Van Halen , revealed that the band may release new music using AI.

According to him, the group has an extensive archive of recordings and jams that, with the use of AI, could be released. Alex says they are "small pieces that don't make a song".

Alex's proposed idea is to use the tool to analyze how his late brother, Eddie Van Halen , played, and thus create new guitar solos based on the analyzed patterns.

The drummer revealed that he contacted OpenAI, the company responsible for ChatGPT, to analyze "how Edward played" and how the process would be carried out.

He acknowledges that it could take years for the project to come to fruition, as he no longer has contact with the vocalist he would like to have featured on the songs: Robert Plant . Alex revealed that he hasn't spoken to Plant in over thirty years.

Alex concluded by saying, "When the conditions are right, things will manifest themselves."
