Van Halen may tour with their original lineup in 2019.

Rumors of a Van Halen reunion began with an interview with David Lee Roth.

Van Halen may return in 2019 with the original lineup. The story began circulating after an interview with David Lee Roth . During the interview, the vocalist stated that the band would play at Yankee Stadium next year.

Now, radio host Eddie Trunk has said that industry sources have informed him that bassist Michael Anthony will participate in the tour. Trunk emphasizes that it's just a rumor. “I hesitated to talk about this because every year there's a rumor about Van Halen. And nothing happens. But, more than usual, as we close out 2018 I've been hearing some murmurs. I have sources and people I hear from who can't be named. But, I heard from someone inside the music industry that there will be Van Halen activity in 2019.”

He continues, “The rumors are – and again, I emphasize that they are rumors, rumors, rumors. Rumors from reliable sources, but still unconfirmed rumors. The band is supposed to tour in 2019 with the original lineup. There are people in the music industry who listen to this show and have emailed me saying, 'I also heard that rumor. I heard about stadiums and about the original lineup.'”
