Van Halen 's debut album , considered one of the best debut albums in rock history, is once again available on CD in the Brazilian market. This new release from the self-titled Van Halen is part of an initiative promoted by Wikimetal in partnership with Oporto da Música, and comes in a special edition with a slipcase.

Released in 1978, the album introduced the group to the world with classic songs like "Runnin' With The Devil," "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love," and "You Really Got Me," a cover of The Kinks. It's also the album that includes "Eruption," one of the most iconic solos of all time, and introduced Eddie Van Halen as one of the greatest virtuosos and one of the biggest influences on guitarists to this day.

The new CD edition features audio from the 2015 remastered version, which was created directly from the original analog tapes to produce the sound the band had in mind.

Van Halen (1978) is now available in major stores, and online via Wikimetal Store .

The re-release is part of an initiative by Wikimetal in partnership with Oporto da Música, which has been bringing to the Brazilian market several classic rock and heavy metal titles that were no longer available; and even some that had never been released in the country. Albums from bands such as Rival Sons, Whitesnake, Heaven & Hell, Metal Church, Deicide, Overkill, Ratt, and many more have already arrived on the market; with more albums expected to arrive in stores every month.
