Guitarist and producer Val Santos presents today, the 2nd, through Wikimetal Music, the third single from his debut solo album 1986. “Warriors Of Metal” is one of the first songs he composed for his first band, Zuris , when he was only 16 years old.

To accompany him on the song, Santos invited his childhood friends and great musicians, Marcos Kleine , from Ultraje à Rigor and PAD , and Mauro Coelho . Listen to the track below!

“I based this song on the band Helloween , as they were a band I listened to a lot at the time, particularly the song called 'Heavy Metal Is The Law' from the album Walls of Jericho , which served as inspiration for me to write 'Warriors of Metal',” Val shares about the song. “[The song] really reflects that era, with a catchy and epic chorus, very fast guitar riffs, a melody with high tones, a very energetic song, great for headbanging [laughs].”

Regarding the collaborations, the artist reveals that Mauro Coelho, who handles the vocals on the track, was also responsible for singing the original version of the song in the late 80s, as the vocalist for Zuris. Therefore, it was natural for the artist to want to invite his longtime friend again for the new version of the track.

Marcos Kleine, who according to Val gives an "incredible lesson on how to play a great metal solo" in the song, is considered by the artist to be his brother and a role model, highlighting his friend's multi-talented artistic side, as he is not only a highly skilled guitarist but also composes and produces, making him a prominent name in the Brazilian and international music scene.

1986 , an album arriving on May 21st, is Val's tribute to the 1980s, the decade in which he began listening to heavy metal and interacting with and working with bands that were emerging on the Brazilian scene, such as VIPER , Vodu , and Volkana .
