“I always wanted to record this song. I remember watching the music video on TV when I was 13, and loving the melody, the vocals, and the chorus—top-notch rock,” recalls Santos, who confesses that recording it was a challenge for him as a guitarist who doesn't do many solos. However, he sought to honor the original solo by the incredible Rik Emmett , guitarist and one of the composers of the original version of the track. “I even did a version of it in 2006 to be included on VIPER's album All My Life , but it didn't happen, unfortunately. But now I called my friend Nando Machado to play bass, and he simply killed it, and Leandro Caçoilo on vocals, who once again shows why he's the best metal vocalist in Brazil. With these two recording, this version couldn't have been better. Dream come true!”
Val recreated on the album the thrash and heavy metal style that dominated the decade and influenced countless musicians worldwide. The decade honored on the album, in addition to featuring releases like Master of Puppets by Metallica , Reign in Blood by Slayer , and Peace Sells… But Who's Buying? by Megadeth , was also the time when Val Santos began listening to the style and interacting and working with bands that were emerging on the Brazilian scene such as VIPER , Vodu , and Volkana .
