Universal, Warner, Sony, Som Livre and others announce a production halt today, the 2nd, in support of the anti-racist struggle

"Recent events in Brazil and around the world no longer allow us to remain silent," says the Warner announcement

Major record labels such as Universal, Warner, Sony , and Som Livre have shown support for the protests that began around the world following the murder of George Floyd on May 25th in the United States.

To support the movement, companies are joining Black Out Tuesday , meaning "Wednesday Blackout," in which they will halt their activities to dedicate the day to talking, discussing, reflecting on, and supporting the Black community.

For this reason, the hashtags #BlackOutTuesday and #TheShowMustBePaused are being used.

See below for the announcements from the record labels on the subject.

#BlackOutTuesday: Wikimetal will dedicate today (June 2nd) to posting mostly content related to the movement that is sweeping the music world against racism.
