The new Brazilian rock band Undo released their new single "Melodrama" this Thursday. The track is the fifth and final single preceding the release of the band's first studio album, which will be released by ForMusic Records.

Guitarist Johnny Monster commented on the release: “In the group's most pop song to date, poignant melodies with echoes of The Smiths and Legião Urbana intertwine with reflective lyrics about the wear and tear of romantic relationships and friendships, a wear and tear that is increasingly frequent in this fast-paced, unforgiving world.”

He continued: “But the song doesn’t succumb to that sentimental nihilism. On the contrary, it uplifts the listener’s spirit with its beautiful melody. Besides the concise and precise arrangement, the well-constructed lyrics, and that stadium-worthy chorus that we all love.”.

Preparing the groundwork for the debut album, the track joins the already released “Coração Selvagem”, “Volta Aquela Cena”, “Porcos Não Olham Pro Céu” and “Aprender a Perder”. The complete project will arrive in 2025 and features collaborations with Leoni and Dado Villa-Lobos .

With a sound reminiscent of the 80s and compositions full of lyricism, Undo has been consolidating its musical identity. The band uniquely blends elements of post-punk, alternative rock, and indie.
