Underoath has returned with their first new song in three years. “Damn Excuses” marks the group's first release since the 2018 Erase Me
“Damn Excuses” was recorded and produced entirely at Feral Sound, guitarist Tim McTague . It seems a new album should be announced soon, but for now the group has only released this single.
Keyboardist Chris Dudley explained in a statement released to the press that the song came at a different time for the band, a post-quarantine moment. He explained that it was created when the group managed to reunite after the long isolation. "This is us ready to return to a noisy room with sweaty people wanting to experience something new."
