Post-hardcore band Underoath has announced that they will release their ninth studio album, Voyeurist, on January 14th. To celebrate the news, the group released the project's single, "Hallelujah".
Although they only confirmed the album last Wednesday, the 4th, they had already released the song "Damn Excuses" in July. Listen to both tracks below.
Voyeurist will be Underoath's first album recorded and produced by themselves. Guitarist Tim McTague spoke to Kerrang! and said he enjoyed the creative process.
“I always wanted to record our own album. I think we just needed to enter a personal space that allowed criticism to come in a productive and constructive way. We grew a lot and I think the album speaks to that growth and collaboration. I've never felt this connected to a project in my life,” he said.
Voyeurist will only be released in January, but it's already available for pre-order.
