Under Influence released the single “198What?” this Thursday, the 31st, via Wikimetal Music . The track is part of the São Paulo-based group's new EP, which will be released in November.

“198What?” brings the direct sound of 90s hardcore by mixing catchy melodies and frenetic rhythms. The music video, directed by Fernando Dranger, can be seen at the end of this article.

The EP, produced and recorded at Toth studio, follows their first album , Same Old, Same Old (2022). “We joke that our slogan is 'In tupátupá we trust!'; it features fast beats, beautiful melodies, well-crafted bass lines, and guitars with many melodic details. We understand it to be a more mature work, musically and also in the phase we are in,” revealed the band. The project draws influences from NOFX and Bad Religion and explores the genres of surf music, thrash metal, and even funk grooves.

Under Influence consists of Guilherme Sanches (vocals and guitar), Antonio Polverini (guitar), Diogo Pinto (bass), and Rafael Ferraz (drums).
