Udo Dirkschneider , vocalist of UDO and former Accept member , has announced a solo album featuring covers of rock songs that have most influenced him throughout his career. The first single is "We Will Rock You," a cover of the Queen .
Far from resembling the original, Udo's version transforms the song into pure metal and features a fun music video in which the singer plays all the characters.
“Queen showed how versatile a band can be. They always fascinated me and were one of my first favorite bands. Queen inspired me musically and I still enjoy listening to all their albums to this day,” commented the vocalist (via Blabbermouth ).
The song is part of the album My Way, which will be released on April 22nd by Atomic Fire Records , featuring 17 versions – and probably some surprises for Udo fans. See the tracklist below.
