U2 will be inducted into the Ivors Academy Fellowship. Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton , and Larry Mullen Jr. are the first Irish songwriters to receive this honor in the European institution's 81-year history.

The Ivors Academy Fellows award is the highest honor bestowed by the organization. The award will be presented at The Ivors with Amazon Music at Grosvenor House in London on Thursday, May 22. The nominees for this year's Ivor Novello Award will be announced on Wednesday, April 23.
