Last Tuesday, the 4th, Type O Negative paid tribute to their late colleague Peter Steele on what would have been his 60th birthday.
On their online profile, the band posted a photo of the musician, who was also known as Green Man , wearing a green jacket in the grass. “We miss our friend and brother every day,” they wrote. “Today would have been his 60th birthday and we celebrated it. While it’s true that everything dies, we still wish it hadn’t been you.”
Peter Steele died on April 14, 2010, due to a gastrointestinal illness called diverticulitis. His legacy with the gothic metal band consists of seven studio albums, in addition to his work with Carnivore , which served as a precursor to the formation of Type O Negative.
