Nightwish is coming to Brazil in September.
In an interview with Metal Wani , Tuomas Holopainen , keyboardist and main composer of the Finnish band Nightwish , spoke about the band's upcoming work.
“Well, it’s still in the songwriting process. I have, I don’t know, 70, 80% of the material written. But nobody has heard anything. They have no idea about the titles, the themes or anything, so it’s still in the early stages, but it’s looking really good and I’m really excited. The idea is that in June 2019 we will start working on the album, record it and, if everything goes as planned, we are anticipating a release in 2020, followed by a huge tour, of course.”
Asked about drummer Jukka Nevalainen , who took a leave of absence from touring due to insomnia, Holopainen said:
“I was with Jukka last week. We went to a baseball game. He’s very involved with the band, but whether he’ll play is still a question mark, because his insomnia hasn’t completely disappeared, even though he feels much, much better. He had surgery earlier this year, so he can’t play. To be honest, I don’t know what the future holds. Right now we have Kai Hahto , and he’ll play until the end of this tour, for sure, but we’ll have to see how Jukka feels at the beginning of next year and what the future brings.”
The band will come to Brazil in September for a single show in São Paulo. Read more here .
