Tuatha de Danann releases music video filmed in Minas Gerais; watch “Turn”

“Turn” is on Tuatha de Danann’s latest album

Tuatha de Danann has just released the music video for their song "Turn".

The video produced for the second track from The Tribes , their most recent album, is available on the band's YouTube channel. "Turn" is one of the most exquisite productions in the history of the Minas Gerais-based quartet and featured production by Escadas Produções and a cast of actresses from the Marina Azze .

The script tells the story of an artist seeking to regain lost inspiration, who, in her quest to overcome her creative block, encounters two fairy-like figures, so well explored in Tuatha's repertoire over the years. Are these figures fairies, witches, spirits, a product of her imagination? The images begin to guide the artist's drawings and are the connecting thread of the music video.

“In the end, the artist in the story encounters these figures, and it remains unclear whether the event was a figment of her imagination, or if a truly magical people inspired her and transported her to the ethereal world depicted in the video, or even if it was a demiurgic act on her part to create and bring those figures to life,” explains vocalist and guitarist Bruno Maia .

“Turn” was filmed in the green area of Varginha, Minas Gerais, and this is the main setting. In the scenes, the band appears in action in the studio, as does the actress who plays the painter. Directed by Alexandre Felix de Carvalho, the production took 30 days to complete, including the recording and editing process.
