The newest member of the band is called a "monster" by his colleagues.
Trivium installed a camera next to drummer Alex Bent during a performance in Denver, Colorado, which resulted in an incredible video of the musician playing "Kirisute Gomen".
Bent joined the band in 2017 to replace Paul Wandtke , who left without revealing the reason for the change to fans and the press, and participated in the last album, The Sin and the Sentence , released in October 2017, marking his first work with the band.
Speaking about the new member, bassist Paolo Gregoletto confessed that he was a great addition to the group: “He’s a monster. If you’ve seen us live, you know what I’m talking about, but if you haven’t, you’ll be amazed. He can play the craziest things and then you look at him and he’s not even sweating!”
According to Gregoletto, the new drummer has been an incentive for the band, "I think our energy on this tour has been very different from anything we've ever had (...) Having someone like him means going on stage and being able to do the show without worrying about the guy who's back there."
