Trivium released the single “Bury Me With My Screams” this Thursday, the 7th. Along with the song, the American metalcore band announced the release of their new EP Struck Dead on October 31st via their long-standing label Roadrunner Records.

Matthew K. Heafy (vocalist/guitarist), Corey Beaulieu (guitarist), Paolo Gregoletto (bassist), and Alex Bent (drummer) are preparing a 3-track work with the band's well-known aggressiveness.

In a statement, Paolo Gregoletto commented:

“In 2023, we decided it was finally time to take the next step with The Hangar space we purchased—it was time to transform it into a full-fledged studio. We hired designer Roger D'Arcy , thanks to a referral from Mark Lewis , and began a year-long construction project.”

"While construction was underway, we were immersed in rehearsals for The Poisoned Ascendancy , celebrating the 20th anniversary of Ascendancy . What started as the idea of releasing a single during the tour quickly turned into two, then three, as we continued composing while waiting for construction to be completed."

He continued: “During this period, the energy of revisiting Ascendancy began to overflow into these new songs. Matt poured a lot of his personal struggles from the past year into the music, and we used the songwriting process as a cathartic release. These sessions evolved into a three-song EP that we are very proud of, and we can’t wait to debut 'Bury Me With My Screams' live at the Bloodstock Open Air .”

In addition to their performance at Bloodstock Open Air this weekend, Trivium has a series of European shows this month. Shortly after, the band embarks on a US tour.
