The track is part of the band's latest album, The Sin and the Sentence.
This Wednesday, the 7th, Trivium released a new video for “Beyond Oblivion”, a track from the band's latest album, The Sin and the Sentence (2017). The video arrives two weeks after the release of the video for “Betrayer” .
During a 2017 interview with Metal Hammer , bassist Paolo Gregoletto said that guitarist Corey Beaulieu came up with the song title while looking through his TV guide. The musician spoke about the inspiration:
“I felt I could make a chorus with that expression, so I had to think of a theme for it. I was listening to several podcasts about artificial intelligence, but they compared the idea of this new technology to the atomic bomb, discussing how we created this immense and dangerous world where people created things without thinking about the consequences. And the song shows exactly the perspective of someone who works with this type of technology.”
