While some bands are using the quarantine to rest or produce music, Trivium used the opportunity to prank fans on April 1st.
The band announced on their Instagram that drummer Alex Bent would be leaving the group, and more information would be given later via a link on vocalist Matt Heafy's Twitch streaming profile .
Fans have since suspected that the announcement might be a prank, as Trivium is known for having several drummer changes throughout its career.
However, at the scheduled time for the stream to begin, Heafy appears live… playing some songs, and then immediately playing a video game, while the video title is " America's Next Trivium Drummer ," a play on the title of the famous reality show that aims to discover the next great supermodel in the United States, " America's Next Top Model ." That's all we needed, right?
