The Foo Fighters tribute to Taylor Hawkins in London has announced its first batch of guest artists.
In total, there will be two performances, on September 3rd and 27th, in London and Los Angeles, respectively. The first show will feature former Oasis member Liam Gallagher , Roger Taylor and Brian May of Queen , Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush , and comedian Dave Chappelle .
Other confirmed musicians are Chris Chaney (Jane's Addiction), Stewart Copeland (The Police), Omar Hakim, Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders), Mark Ronson, Supergrass, Rufus Taylor (The Darkness), Wolfgang Van Halen and Chevy Metal .
The tribute to Taylor Hawkins is an initiative of Dave Grohl in conjunction with the family of the late drummer, who died on March 26 of this year, at the age of 50 , during the band's tour of South America, which would have included a stop at Lollapalooza Brazil .
Tickets for the show will be available for purchase starting this Friday, the 17th, and the proceeds will go to charities in the United Kingdom, personally chosen by the drummer's family.
