Travis Lowell frontman of the bands Mammothor and Ashes to Embers , has just released his new solo project with a cover of the song "Tomorrow" by Silverchair .
“I’ve shared the stage with great bands like Godsmack , Megadeth, and Evanescence , but 'Tomorrow' represents my passion for music more than anything else,” says Travis.
In 2020, he started the project with a collaborative cover of Faith No More ," which was well-received by his audience, and soon after he thought about recording the next song.

“'Tomorrow' is a very important song to me because, growing up in a small town, it was amazing to see kids not much older than me traveling the world showcasing the power of their own music. Years later, living in Australia, I discovered and was amazed by the fanbase these kids had built in their home country,” he recalls.
He hopes this single can connect with people around the world and feels proud of the result: “We remained quite faithful to the original, but still, we recorded it in a way that had our own style,” he said.
Travis states that his solo work allows him to expand his musical abilities: “I don’t want to limit myself to doing just ‘one thing.’ My skills and interests go beyond rock and metal, although that’s where my heart lies.”.
The musician also says that working with his own bands is like a birthing process, but one of love. “Like any labor, it’s painful, but you’re proud of the result. It’s always difficult to work in a group, because everyone has their own opinion, and at the same time it’s very satisfying when visions align. We are able to do things that we would never be able to accomplish alone,” he reflects.
Travis also mentioned that he enjoyed playing in Brazil with the band Mammothor in 2017: "I found the Brazilian people very kind and appreciative of music, even without understanding the lyrics.".
The vocalist also shared something he's proud of and that's one of the highlights of his career: opening for Megadeth on their tour. “They're on that 'wish list' of the best bands I grew up listening to – and still listen to. It was a great honor to share the stage with them, the audience was extremely receptive, which was a surprise. I think I made it clear on stage that I was a huge fan and that this was a dream come true.”.
The singer also gave a sneak peek at upcoming releases for Wikimetal. In May, he is scheduled to release the album The Ecstasy of Silence… The Agony of Dreams with the band Mammothor, as well as a new single with the band Ashes to Embers.
Let's wait and see!
