Travis Barker , drummer for blink-182 , revealed how his girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian helped him on his first plane trip since a tragic accident in 2008.
first flight in over a decade took place last month when the drummer boarded a private jet alongside Kourtney. The decision was supported by his partner, who planned the trip and notified him 24 hours in advance.
The couple's agreement came after Kardashian revealed her desire to travel more with her boyfriend. “And I said, ‘Well, when the day comes that you want to fly, I’ll do it with you. I’d do anything with you. Just let me know 24 hours in advance.’ And that’s what she did,” Barker told Nylon .
The experience was positive for the musician and also showed the strength of their relationship. “It’s still very new to me, but having something that gives me strength and hope to overcome such traumatic events in my life means a lot. And she is definitely that for me. I am invincible with her. I never even dreamed, I hadn’t considered flying again,” he confessed.
On September 19, 2008, the musician was involved in an accident with his team in a Learjet 60 that killed the pilots and Barker's assistant, Chris Baker , as well as security guard Charles "Che" Still . Travis suffered second and third-degree burns and required treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder after the event.
