Torture Squad released "Buried Alive" last Saturday, the 24th, the 9th music video from their album Devilish , released in September 2023. The track features Andreas Kisser

, guitarist of Sepultura . In this work, the band visually translates the intensity and strong crossover hardcore influences as a form of resistance and survival within the underground scene. The video is set in a symbolic space of this São Paulo heavy music subculture: the Saúde Skate Park in São Paulo.

Vocalist Mayara Puertas comments on the composition of the track: "I wrote the lyrics for 'Buried Alive' while I was having a real panic attack, so it was a cathartic release. People tend to minimize the suffering of those who face these illnesses, often believing that taking medication is enough, that it's a lack of effort or even a lack of 'God,' as I've heard a few times. It's a constant struggle, and in this song I recount what it was like to go through all of that."

Filmed and directed by Rodrigo Borrero of Agência Brasília, the video reinforces and completes the meaning of music and sport as escape valves and expressions to face anxiety, depression, and the pressures of daily life, reinforcing the idea of movement and collectivity.

Torture Squad continues to promote their recent album Devilish , available on digital platforms and in physical format, with national distribution by Sound City Records and Valhall Music.
