Celebrating Life Through Death Sepultura 's farewell tour , and Torture Squad will be opening for the band on their first date in São Paulo, Friday the 6th, at Espaço Unimed.
As a band that has been around for quite some time in the national metal scene, Torture Squad has been active for almost three decades, performing both nationally and internationally.
Featuring Mayara Puertas (vocals), Rene Simionato (guitar), Castor (bass) and Amilcar Christófaro (drums) in its lineup, the group is currently promoting its most recent work, Devilish (2023).
Regarding the show, the band comments: “We will have the honor of being on the same stage with the band that was and continues to be the green light for Torture Squad in life. The greatest Brazilian metal band of all time, Sepultura. There are moments that are gifts that life gives you, and we feel that it is thanks to all their dedication and passion for always continuing to believe in their music, in their attitude, that is, in their band. And this is definitely one of them.”
They add: "The fact that this is happening on the tour for one of the most important albums in Torture Squad's career, Devilish , is what makes this moment even more mystical, magical, and surreal."
The city bids farewell to Sepultura with two more performances taking place on the same weekend, the 7th and 8th, with all tickets sold out, and opening acts Cultura Tres and Black Pantera respectively.
