The Tormenta Metal Fest will take place on August 17th at 8 PM at CWB Hall in Curitiba. The event will feature many bands from the national and local scene, with plenty of power, heavy, and even thrash metal.
The festival will also feature a themed fair and a cosplay contest with prizes. The event promises a large audience of goths, geeks, and RPG players.
According to Tormenta's Instagram post: "It's going to be the most beautiful event in the city! There will be Magic, Dragons, Swords, Laser Beams and the manifestation of Metal in all its grandeur on the CWB Hall stage. There will be lots of Power, Heavy and even Thrash Metal!"
Bands confirmed for Tormenta Metal Fest
There will be five bands: Fortell , an original band that will present a special show at this event featuring classics from Angra and Kamelot ; Seyren , which pays a gala tribute to the gods of symphonic metal Nightwish ; Wildreams , in turn, pays homage to Metallica ; and Sonorya , which features a beautiful cover of Epica , completing the Heavy Metal Legacy lineup with various Power Metal classics.
It's worth highlighting the band Fortell, which gained prominence in the scene as an original prog/power metal band with a conceptual theme. The band Seyren has an extensive history of performing, always with elegance and quality, featuring the powerful vocals of Vanessa Rafaelly .
In addition to the concerts, there will be a Cosplay contest with cash prizes, a Geek/Gothic fair, and the second meeting of FemMetal , a group of women in the metal scene from Curitiba.
FemMetal Meeting
FemMetal is a group dedicated to uniting, integrating, strengthening ties, networking, and promoting the work of women in the Curitiba metal scene. The project was founded by Cinthia Mara , the vocalist of the band Fortell.
It's a group for all women, and anyone who identifies with it can request to join by sending a message on Instagram @femmetalcuritiba .
Since FemMetal aims for inclusion, an initiative will be undertaken to encourage more people to join the group during the Tormenta Metal Fest.
