This week, the Power Trio's sound pays homage to one of the great headliners of Monsters Of Rock 2013: Slipknot!!!
Leave other songs in the comments that could and should be here.
Rafael's sound of the week:
My relationship with Slipknot has always been late. I discovered the band when they were already on their fourth album.
And the reason, as childish as it gets: Fear.
Fear of music, of album covers, and especially of them…
The masks!! Wow, they're so scary. But in 2011 I mustered up the courage and, for the first time, saw the band live at Rock In Rio.
Yes, there I was, like a child in diapers, facing the "Masked Evil Ones." Along with the fear, respect for Slipknot's work will always be with me. Great band. With a clear, direct sound, without frills and without masks.
Daniel's sound of the week:
The drummer in the band I played with (a band that was just an excuse to drink beer during rehearsals and play classic metal songs) always told me: "You have to listen to Slipknot. They're awesome! "
Well, if you're a drummer, it's obvious that it's amazing! There isn't a drummer who doesn't revere the work done by Joey Jordison.
He talked about it so much that I started listening attentively, and my liking for the band grew, culminating with 2008's "All Hope Is Gone," which has truly incredible songs. Hence my choice of the week:
