Top 3: Holy Diver

This week we are happy to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of an album that has entered the Hall of Fame of Immortal Albums: “Holy Diver” in the Wikimetal Top 3!

The debut album by the band Dio was released on May 25, 1983, and was produced by the vocalist himself, Ronnie James Dio.

With a unique lineup that included guitarist Vivian Campbell, bassist Jimmy Bain, and drummer Vinny Appice, Dio's bandmate in Black Sabbath, "Holy Diver" delivered songs that became true Heavy Metal anthems such as Stand Up And Shout , Caught In The Middle , Don't Talk To Strangers , Rainbow In The Dark , as well as the title track itself, Holy Diver .

Listen to the special episode with Vinny Appice on Wikimetal talking about Holy Diver.

Check out the videos we've chosen and leave in the comments other songs that could be included here.
