Darrell Lance Abbott passed away on December 8, 2004, a victim of violence that we still cannot fully comprehend. But the creative force, the brilliant solos, and the insane riffs he created in Pantera (and Damageplan as well) will never be forgotten.
The guitarist, who never hid his admiration for geniuses like Ace Frehley, Tony Iommi, Pete Willis, Joe Satriani, and Randy Rhoads, has entered the gallery of immortals, and his work will always be remembered here at Wikimetal and everywhere that celebrates good music.
