Tool is perhaps one of the most interesting and mysterious bands in existence. Formed in 1990, the group has always maintained an aura of experimental peculiarity, making it impossible to use the adjective "predictable" to define them.
Despite releasing only 5 studio albums in their 35-year career, the band makes extensive use of enigmatic mysticism to produce their progressive post-metal. Being one of the most cult in rock, they foster a level of fan dedication that many artists envy.
At 7:55 PM, the band took to the Samsung Galaxy at Lollapalooza to prove that the wait was worth it. The group transported us to an immersive and intoxicating musical and visual atmosphere.
Even before the show began, mind-blowing visuals projected images ranging from psychedelia to horror in just a few seconds. In fact, the rest of the show followed in exactly the same way: the interplay of lights and images contributed to the peculiar and mysterious atmosphere that the band has always conveyed. A snippet of "Third Eye" opened the show, followed immediately by "Fear Inoculum," to the delight of the audience. In a few seconds, everyone present experienced what was perhaps one of the best shows of their lives.
Tool delivers a mesmerizing show with surprises at their concert in Brazil.
“Jambi,” from the album 10,000 Days , featured Jessica Di Falchi , former guitarist of the band Crypta , surprising everyone and adding even more weight to the performance. Speaking of weight, it was soon the turn of “Stinkfist” and “Rosetta Stoned”—which featured the intro of “Lost Keys.” A laser show transformed the stage into something exceptionally incredible to witness.
“The Grudge,” followed by “Parabol” and “Schism,” were the highlight of the night: the perfectly executed performance led the audience to a complete sensory experience. In fact, these were the songs with the darkest atmospheres: the lasers faded, giving way to images of a dark idyll. It is, indeed, intoxicating.
During the 11 songs that Tool performed at their show here in Brazil, it was clear that the crowd was ecstatic and completely intoxicated by the musical, visual, and sensory immersion we were privileged to experience. Tool was one of the biggest hits at Lollapalooza in years.
