Tool drummer Danny Carey made the revelation to a fan
The highly anticipated new Tool has finally been given a possible release date, confirmed drummer Danny Carey .
Earlier this month, Maynard James Keenan revealed that the successor to 10,000 Days was in its final stages . The Los Angeles band had hoped to release the album in 2017, but it suffered several delays.
Now, Carey was pressed by a fan at an autograph event. Asked about the album, he replied: “Yeah, it’s going to be released in mid-April. That’s the plan, anyway.”
Furthermore, someone close to the band, Gabriel Shaffer , posted on Instagram that he has already listened to the entire album.
"What I can say is that I heard something from beginning to end that many of us have been waiting for for 10 years. I can confirm that it was worth every moment of the wait. The question is: do we deserve [the album]?"
