Maynard James Keenan said that his best guess is that the album will be released between May and July of this year
Vocalist Maynard James Keenan said that Tool should arrive between May and July of this year.
Keenan gave an update on the album on social media. He said they are in the middle of the mixing process. “There will probably be some changes. Then some discussions. Then mastering, artwork, video, packaging, etc. Best guess is that the release will happen between May and July. More focused news will come out as we progress.”.
The comment came a month after drummer Danny Carey told a fan that the "plan" was to release it in April . Carey had previously made other predictions about the band's fifth album. In 2017, he said the album would be released in 2018. Tool officially entered the studio in March of last year to begin recording. Keenan recently tweeted that he finished recording the vocals months ago.
