Fear Inoculum will have themes, number of tracks and other details involving the seven.
Tool guitarist Adam Jones has revealed some details about the band's upcoming album, Fear Inoculum . These include the number of tracks, the length of the album, and the themes behind the LP, which involve the number seven.
The album will have seven tracks and be 80 minutes long. Theoretically, none of them will be released as radio singles. Jones said the concept for the album revolves around the number seven.
“I took a picture pointing to the number seven while we were recording. Many of the riffs that Justin Chancellor [bassist] and I composed were in seventh key,” he explained. “Without giving too much away, the number seven kept appearing several times. It was really strange.”
Jones continued: “Then Maynard told me about the concept behind this number. And we were all like, 'Oh my God! This is so strange.' And Alex Grey [the band's visual artist] came up with a concept that will be presented through the videos.”
