"It would be really cool to write one or two songs."
Legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi revealed during an interview with Metal Hammer that he is interested in collaborating with Rob Halford, frontman of Judas Priest.
“We’ve talked about this many times. When the time is right, it would be really cool to write a song or two, or something like that. I would really like to do that. It’s great to work with people you respect and like.”
Iommi also mentions that since the end of Black Sabbath he hasn't worked on new music: "I'm not writing at the moment but I will at some point. It's great to take a break, you come back refreshed."
Halford had previously worked with the guitarist when he sang with Black Sabbath at two shows in 1992 when then-vocalist Ronnie James Dio refused to open for Ozzy Osbourne, and again in 2004 when Ozzy, already back in the band, fell ill.
