Iommi says Geezer Butler no longer wants to record
In an interview with Q magazine, guitarist Tony Iommi stated that, if it were up to him, Black Sabbath would release more new material. The musician said he wouldn't stop playing: "What makes it difficult is touring .
Iommi said: “I have a lot of riffs. I wrote a lot of things for the last album. We met in LA but the others… Well, Geezer (Butler) didn’t really want to make another album. But also, after you’ve released a number 1 album, where do you go from there?”
The latest news about the future of Black Sabbath came from Ozzy earlier this month. The vocalist stated that the band will not release any more albums and that the upcoming tour, dubbed "The End," will mark the end of the English group's activities.
