Iommi says the band is retiring from big stages.

In an interview with the website Planet Rock, the Black Sabbath guitarist said that the conclusion of "The End" tour, which took place last Saturday, only retires the band from performing on large stages. According to the musician, Black Sabbath may still work together:

"It's just the tour for me. It's time to stop traveling the world and stay home... I'll still be composing and releasing things."

Asked if Black Sabbath's days were over, Iommi said: "No, I think we've just ruled out the possibility of doing big tours of that scale, but who knows, maybe we'll do something."

We haven't talked about that. That's another matter; we haven't really discussed what will happen next. But I'm sure something could happen.

Black Sabbath played their last show on Saturday, February 4th, in their hometown of Birmingham.
