Tony Iommi attended a rehearsal of the Birmingham Royal Ballet , which is preparing the show Black Sabbath – The Ballet . And the guitarist and founder of Black Sabbath was full of praise:
"I loved it. It's so different, and it's something that many people didn't expect to see, including me."
Iommi commented that he had never been to a ballet performance in his life, "but to come here, and work with these people, and see it, is simply fantastic."
Black Sabbath – The Ballet will perform at the Hippodrome Theatre in Birmingham from September 20th to 30th. The show will feature 8 re-orchestrated Black Sabbath songs, all from the band's first 5 albums:
